Corona news: Further easing

Since yesterday, the new state regulation for the containment of the coronavirus is in force. This allows further relaxations for tourism, which we summarize here:

Accommodation

Accommodation for tourism purposes in hotels and guesthouses is possible again. Guests must have a negative test result on arrival and every 48 hours thereafter. The test must not be older than 24 hours. Proof of presence must be kept. Medical Mouth-Nose Protection (MNS) must be worn in common and circulation areas (e.g. lobby) and in dining areas up to the site.

For camping and RV sites, vacation rentals, cottages, and recreational boating marinas, a negative test must be present upon arrival only.

Museums & Castles

The Bauhaus Museum Dessau and the historic Bauhaus building can be visited again from 01.06.2021. Please purchase an online ticket in advance.

The castles of the Dessau-Wörlitz Garden Kingdom will also be open again from 29.05.2021. Here, too, an online ticket must be purchased in advance for the visit.

Also open to visitors are the Dessau Zoo, the “Hugo Junkers” Museum of Technology and, from June 2, 2021, the Museum of City History and the Museum of Natural History and Prehistory.

No negative test result is required to visit these facilities.

Gastronomy

Restaurants can be open at tables indoors between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. and outdoors in compliance with distance and hygiene rules. Guests must present a negative test result that is no more than 24 hours old. Proof of attendance must be kept (e.g. via Luca app or Corona warning app).

Theater, cinema and events

Offers of the Anhaltisches Theater Dessau, cinemas or concert organizers are possible in compliance with general hygiene and distance rules. A limit of 50 people indoors or 200 people outdoors applies.  A medical MNS must be worn permanently indoors and outdoors in communal and catering areas. Access is only possible with a negative test result.
